The activity of this emerging Munich Center benefits from its members’ cooperation with other centres at national and international level. At the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU), the Munich Center of Health Sciences (MC-Health) coordinates expertise from various faculties. As a result, substantial and unique competence in the field of quantitative health sciences emerges. The development of competitive research capacities is expanded by cooperation with the Helmholtz Zentrum München – German Research Centre for Environmental Health (GmbH) – which contributes substantial resources and has established a new research Institute of Genetic Epidemiology (Prof. Dr. Konstantin Strauch).
